Recent Failure and more;

One of the best videos from last week~
<object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/S27yitK32ds&hl ... ram><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/S27yitK32ds&hl=en&fs=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>[/youtube]

There are some very good ones from this weekend too.
<object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/YBVB1Uc0nko&hl ... ram><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/YBVB1Uc0nko&hl=en&fs=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>[/youtube]

Some random facts:
-It would take only 61 Billion dollars to pay off the debts of all Americans.
-[Sept 17th] "The U.S. Senate...approved a $612.5 billion defense spending bill for fiscal 2009, including $70 billion for operations in Iraq and Afghanistan."
-In Section 8 of the failed Bill; "Decisions by the Secretary pursuant to this authority of this Act are non-reviewable and committed to agency discretion, and may not be reviewed by any court of law or any administrative agency" Total bullshit imo.
-190 economists came out against the bill last wekk.
-There is no constitutional authority for the US Government or the Federal Reserve to use public (taxpayer) money for what is definitely a private purpose (bailing out Wall Street).
-The American Dollar would drop by ~10% immediately
-"he Leadership apparently intends to use a process known as “martial law” to allow these bills to be brought to the floor very shortly after negotiations are completed, with the result that Members of the House are likely to have virtually no time to examine and consider the details of the legislation before they will be required to vote on it." http://www.cbpp.org/7-28-06bud-stmt.htm

By the way they were trying to rush and pass this, it was obvious that this bill was froth full of ill-intent. Part of the; [orchestrated and rushed] Problem + [prepared] Solution = Unseen Motives equation, yes think 9/11. The Government wants to take Tax payer money and give it to the bank, so that the banks can then loan back your own money with interest.

It's also peculiar that Paulson [former CEO of Goldman Sachs, which became a bank overnight], our Treasury Secretary, is behind all of this because "Goldman's stock could rise under the [Paulson] plan, benefiting his former partners, because it would take distressed assets off their balance sheet."

I am glad to have seen that this bill was not passed, although that is not to say they won't try on Thursday with something else. It's going to be a 4th branch of the Government, the introduction of the Amero or something else..

Yeah this whole situation is pretty fucked up, and it really worries me. Whenever a private enterprise can legitimately say "if we go under, you're fucked, so you better help!" and actually be right, that's pretty fucked. Consider how much money it would ACTUALLY take to fix this situation, and how much they want, is even more upsetting. There's really no way anyone should profit from this nonsense. Loans with reasonable interest rates + firing all the fucking assholes who let this happen is really the only solution that I think solves both the actual and potential issues this has created.

Paulson can basically suck a dick if he thinks we should hand over 700 billion in taxpayer dollars and then NOT HAVE ANY INPUT REGARDING HOW IT GETS ALLOCATED. It's even more worrisome that our President got on television and endorsed the idea.

I can't wait for January.

Yea hopefully we can elect another quasi-conservative and stave off disaster for 4 more years and then a real conservative can be elected.

We needed Carter to elect Reagan, and we're about to elect the next Carter.

I'm not too upset.
