I'm bored, and need new things to listen to. Hook me up with interesting stuff. Melodic metalcore, post-metal, post-punk, progressive death. Pretty much open to anything thats 1) not genre generic and 2) not that whole satriani et al "progressive" guitar wankery. Dull as fuck imo. I know a lot of people like them; just not my thing. Open to other styles as well. Surprise me!

Death Core (fucking brutal)

Suicide Silence, God damn brutal band if you dont know them... wow LISTEN now for the brutality! One instrumental they have the background to it is the phone call where the chick calls cause her chimp rips her friends face off!! if that is not brutal enough then the instrumental behind it is set perfectly for brutality maximum.
I honestly love them I cant link just 1 song.. its impossible.

misery signals owns. not sure if they're generic metal though? definitely hardcore influencded. probably call them metalcore, but in the good, shai hulud sense. not to mention their connection to 7 angels 7 plagues. august burns red are good too. good call on their new album, i'll have to check that out. despised icon also good stuff. the hardcore bands you listed are all solid bands, just not new stuff. madball's been around since the 80s. i saw your long post and got all excited :(
