Image uploading help

Post by Joonibal »

I registered with http://www.imageshock.us to upload some WoW screenshots. Unfortunately, I am getting the message "Your file type "tga" is not allowed."

Is there anything I can do to fix this problem?

Thanks in advance :)

open the image in whatever your favorite image viewer is. Go to file -> save as and change the file extension to .jpg. Then upload the .jpg file to the site.

Most sites don't allow .tga files because they are uncompressed image files and therefore are much larger file sizes.

Targa files (.tga) are Blizzard's favorite type of images, screenshost will default to this so you'll need something like Photoshop (possibly something cheaper and easier to get) to change it.

Just open the file and save as a .jpg or even .gif from the extension list.

Use .bmp and you're getting called a newb.
