The Secret World
Anyone trying this out? I'm not a super huge fan of Funcom but so far it's been pretty fun, playing blade/blood Templar.

Re: Tera
My warrior is named Pakse. I've been trying a variety of other characters too. usually only play for an hour or two before my girlfriend gets home, although can play longer when I'm not working. PVP is pretty fun so far. took a 3man gank squad a bit to take me down, and facerolled an archer who trie...

Re: Tera
I've been playing it for the last few days on valley of titans PVP server. It's pretty fun so far. The questing is pretty vanilla wow but the combat is great. Just got to level 20 on my warrior.

The Passage
Just finished reading this the other day. Hyped book of the summer. First of an eventual planned 3. Reads sort of like a cross between I Am Legend the movie, and The Stand. I thought it was very good, recommend.
Re: Avatar
Absolutely needs to be seen in 3D in the theater. I've seen it twice so far.

Re: The Wheel of Time by Robert Jordan
The most recent book was quite good, and I don't see any way they would have been able to finish the series short of the 3 additional books by sanderson. Book 12 as it is was already about 900 pages, and its fairly action packed as far as WoT book goes, especially compared to books 7-10. It's defini...

Re: The Blade Itself - Joe Abercrombie
Just read this series, thought it overall was great. I thought all 3 books were really good. Not quite sure how i felt about the ending - its appropriate to the series but somewhat depressing/bleak. Going to pick up his stand alone book in the same world Best Served Cold next.

Re: Tigana by Guy Gavriel Kay
I just recently read his fionavar tapestry series. It has pretty good reviews but frankly I didn't care too much for it. The characterizations didnt seem as strong as in his other books, and I thought the plot was somewhat weak. His later works are much better. (Fionavar tapestry were his first book...

Re: Malazan
Gardens of the moon is by far the hardest book in the series to follow and the least well written of the series. It's definitely worth it to stay with the series though. Books 2 and 3 are some of the best fantasy books ive ever read. A lot of the concepts in the series are explained later on, GoTM d...
